“Yes Tabby, very interesting, I am sure you win the competition for the feline with the best teeth.”
“I was just trying Mrs. Human. You see I am sure I could eat a chicken leg with no problem.”
“So am I Tabby, but chicken legs are for humans.”
“I was thinking if you happen to eat that chicken leg that you have just cooked, I am also willing.”
“Willing to do what Tabby?”
“To share it with you of course.”
“You have your own food Tabby, delicious vitamin pellets.”
“Ok, then we can both share. You can have some of my vitamin pellets and I will have some of your chicken leg.”
“That does no work Tabby. Vitamin pellets are special for felines to make them strong and healthy.”
“I am strong and healthy without the vitamin pellets. Just look at my wonderful teeth. I am sure I could easily bite with no problem. Let me try on your finger.”
“Definitely not Tabby, I want to keep my fingers, all of them.”
“OK, just saying. The problem is that my throat is not designed for vitamin pellets. It is more ideal for a chicken legs, filleted of course, or tuna fish. It then just rolls down the gorge with no problem. Vitamin pellets refuse to roll, they get stuck somewhere, although they are ideal for forming hairballs. They have some sort of binding effect on the fur. You should really try Mrs. Human.”
“But Tabby I have no wish to produce a hair ball.”
“But I am sure that chicken leg you are about to eat and share with me tastes good.”
“I did not mention sharing and I though the word “share” does not exist in meow.”
“Normally not, but towards Catmas it is considered a delicacy. There are even humans that eat the oversized chickens, called turkeys, at their Catmas. I am satisfied with just a chicken leg.”
Dear Tabby, Great fangs! I had no idea you felines were so well armed. We canines have powerful, uh, canines, also. If “share” existed in Meow, I’d share all the birds I catch. Yours forever and ever, Dusty T. Dog
P.S. Our human shared her chicken with us last night. 🙂 ❤ I love her.

I have the best fangs of all, but I keep them nice and sharp. I noticed today that Roschti was sharing my tuna fish that I left for later. That is not sharing that is stealing. I will have to have a firm claw with her tomorrow. You love your human? Yes well I suppose they do come in useful now and again. We felines put up with them.

Vitamin Pellets are delicious?! How did that happen?! They were never delicious before. (And probably still aren’t.)

It was Mrs. Human that used the word “delicious” in this context, Tabby ignored the remark.

I agree with Tabby. I have not had vitamin pellets, but I assume that they are, in fact, far from delicious.

This is an argument my dogs have not yet used, that they are better designed for the food WE eat than we give them. Mostly, they just EAT. A lot.

Tabby gets her pellets whether she likes it or not. She has survived 15 years with them up to now. Now and again she has tuna fish, but not as much she would like to have
